DON'T!

I hardly watch any movie that i will end up criticising about, but this movie sucks and it sucks big time.. the story is slow and dull.. the acting is well.. not really acting cause they were mainly showing stone face.. the whole movie is a load of bull.. they even had to use plenty of flashbacks to fill up the screen-time.. seems like a low budget film with my gaps and unexplained storylines...

Yes, its true and almost confirmed.. later today, we should be hearing Barcelona's presentation of Thiery Henry as a their player.. oh well..

No one can be blamed for what happened and the club must move on.. i believe Prof Wenger is already lining up a few names and checking on their availability.. the absence of a first choice striker means that some "big" name would be more ready to make the move.. wait is all we can do now..

Of My virgin accident

21 June, thursday, around 2.00pm I was driving my "office car" along PIE..

traffic was moderately heavy.. and at the downslope along the PIE near Kallang Bahru exit.. the car in front of me was braking and it stopped suddenly.. i jammed braked immediately and managed to avoid hitting the car in front.. but just as i kept my feet on the brake pedal, the impact came from behind..

the worst had happened.. i had my first traffic accident.. or actually, my first traffic accident had me.. haiz.. fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.. another colleague who was in the rear seat had minor pain to her back.. luckily, it turned out to be nothing too serious.. a week MC is what she needs now to rest and recover..

accident-free no more.. although it was not exactly my fault.. to put it simply, i was hit on the back, so that driver was tail-gating.. and on top of that, what's a VAN doing on the 2nd lane of the PIE?

the greatest impact on me was perhaps the fact that someone got hurt from the accident.. though it is not entirely my fault.. she was a passenger on the car i was driving and thus i took it upon myself that her safety was compromised at some point in time..

from this incident, i have "broken my virginity on traffic accident".. surely i have no wish to ever be involved again in any other incidents..


i had driven today, just less than 24hours after the accident yesterday.. i even took the same route back and past my accident spot today.. maybe this is indeed the best way to overcome any post-traumatic stress disorder.. haha



























Glad i'm safe, live to drive another day.. keep this from my parents if you know them yeah

Duan Wu Jie or Dragon Boat Festival.. is much better known for its Rice Dumplings..


Sadly, many has forgotten the origins of why these dumplings were created and who these dumplings commemorate..


So here we have.. Qu Yuan..

I'm not going to embark on some history lesson.. but basically this old man is supposed to be patriotic and at the same time suicidal.. he tried to advise his king(during the China Warring States era) about the danger of Qin Kingdom but he kind of ignored him.. when a city fell or something, he was so upset that he could not help his country (Chu Kingdom) that he threw himself into a river..

so it seems like someone found out and tried to fish him out.. but no success.. as the people were pretty sure that he's a goner by then.. they decided to dump rice dumpling into the river to prevent the fishes from eating his flesh..


the search and rescue mission, combined with the rice dumpling delivery team, would be reduced to the Dragon Boat Festival of today..


and so, for the 5th day of the 5th month of every Lunar year.. people started rowing dragon boats and eating rice dumplings.. firstly to commemorate this gentlemen and more currently because the rice dumplings taste great..

Of Quitting from my job

If you haven't already heard, i have resigned from my current job and starting anew on 16 Jul. Before you go on to congratulate me, bear in mind that i forfeited my july bonus(0.5mths) and $220 cash, on top of that, my pay revision PB taken in May needs to be returned..

so that's life, you win some, you lose some..

being in this job has taught me many things, my passion for work, my desire for excellence.. flames of motivation put off one by one by people who care less, put off by people who are superior in rank and pay, but lack the general ability to man-management and handle general work..

at the same time, people who have suffered under the group of "care less" people hordle together to tide through the tide and curse at the living for behaving like the dead..

yes, i will leave on a positive note with little to lose.. pity though, that there really isn't that much achievement or contribution that i see as significant to call my own during my 20months here

for the remaining full time staff that are here, those who care less will continue to trouble and poison the division, those who have been carrying the load and lamenting on the lack of support will seek greener pastures.. that is the reality, the strong economy helps too..

ok, enough about work, i have plenty of time and days to blog more when i'm fully off the hook..

Of i'm ill

No updates, i'm ill.. since monday.. maybe if i hadn't decided to get into office on monday, i would have taken a shorter time to recover, but now, i'm ill, since monday to sunday, thats seven long days to be on medication and feeling like shit..

tongue's kind of numb, not tasting much of the food that i put in.. this sucks.. hope i get over this soon..

What is the most important element of a car?

Some say its the engine, some say its the exterior.. lets list down a few, not in any order..

Car Exterior(Design)
Car Colour (exterior)
Car Seats
Dashboard design
Wheels
Engine
Fuel Consumption
Windows
Convertible vs Not
blah blah blah..

so basically.. in order for a car to perform.. it takes more than just one factor.. while the exterior of the car is often the first to be seen.. its overall purpose might not be the main factor of the car.. the interior brings comfort to the drivers and its passengers, but without the accelerator, the wheel, the gears.. now that's trouble..

the car is able to travel because of the engine, the engine operations because the fuel tank feeds it with fuel to burn, the engine turns the axles.. but the car doesn't move without wheels..

so many factors.. so little focus..











so what's a car without wheels going to be like? will it be the same when all 4 wheels are gone or replaced? i guess not..
