Of Switching off

I switched off the telly twice this month.. the first, a champions league semi-final 2nd leg against Manchester United and the second occasion - the 3rd last league game of the season, my 4th placed arsenal against 3rd place Chelsea..

The problem this time is, i switched off before the game was even over.. both instances even before the half-time whistle.. the result was painful and perhaps it was this pain that lead to my dejection, dejected and disappointed enough to not bear to watch it anymore...

As it is, the final 2 games of the season for Arsenal has nothing to play for.. We faced Manchester United again for the 4th time this season, they are chasing the league title.. winning their game against Arsenal will secure the league title for the champions elect.. whether we win or lose mean little to us.. there's all but pride to play for..

i'm taking distance away from the performance.. we simply didn't play like we should and could.. we did well against chelsea in the first 20mins.. we were never up to the mark against manchester united.. such is the gulf..

for those who don't watch football, you might be buffered at how fans like me follow the game and get affected by it.. but this beautiful game is part of life and in life.. you set expectations and you get disappointed and downhearted by the results don't go your way..

such is football
